UNDERSTANDING YOUR ROOF
WE ARE EXPERTS IN THE DETAILS OF ROOFING

Removal of Existing Roofing Material
There are no cutting corners when you choose W-R-V Exteriors. We start every build from scratch and remove all the existing material down to the bare plywood.

Inspection of Decking
Once we remove the roof, we thoroughly inspect the existing decking for any imperfections or rot. If we find any that are not adequate to properly hold the nails, we put a fresh board in to ensure your roof can withstand the elements.

Do you need Drip Edge?
Drip edge is a vital upgrade to add to your home. It is exactly what it sounds like! It is installed around the perimeter of your roof and prevents water from dripping down the side of your home.

Installation of Ice & Water Shield
Ice and water shield is a synthetic underlayment that is installed on the eaves (anywhere water sheds off), in the valleys (where two sections meet), and around all faucets on the roof. It prevents destructive ice dams from occurring and seals up the high traffic areas of the roof.

Choosing the proper underlayment
When you choose WRV Exteriors, you get a top notch roofing system every time.. That's why we automatically upgrade all of our customers to a synthetic felt underlayment FOR FREE! This material lays across the entire roof and is your last line of defense against the elements. We only use synthetic to make sure your roof stays water tight for years to come!

NeoPrene Pipe Flashings
Pipe jacks are the small pipes that stick from your roof. These are vents for the plumbing in your home and are prone to leaks. At W-R-V Exteriors, we replace the boots/collars of these on every single project, every time, with new neoprene boots that will hold strong in even the harshest weather! We take it one step further and install ice and water shield as well, just to be sure!

Replacement of all Flashings
The term "Flashing" refers to various components or materials that keep water from entering your home. There are many kinds of flashing used on your roof to keep your home safe. Step, counter, apron, and wall flashing are just a few! At W-R-V Exteriors we change them all so you can rest easy.

Skylight Replacements
While re-flashing a skylight comes standard with a roof replacement at W-R-V Exteriors we truly recommend to replace the skylight when the roof is being replaced. There's nothing worse than having a brand new 50-year roofing system with a skylight leaking through it's window seal. Ask us about the different varieties we have to offer!
